KPJ passed its first one-billion-ringgit turnover benchmark in fiscal year 2007, with total revenue of RM1.11 billion, and continued to grow in 2008 with its revenue rising to RM1.27 billion and pre-tax profit, for the first time, surpassing the one-hundred-million-ringgit mark at RM114.05 million (2007: RM85.25 million).
The Group continued to grow in 2009, posting revenue of RM1.46 billion and pre-tax profit of RM143.89 million. KPJ claimed its place among the Top 100 Companies on Bursa Malaysia by market capitalization when its share price ended year 2009 at a historic high of RM6.51 with a market capitalization of RM1.37 billion.
In addition, KPJ places great emphasis on the continuous development and nurturing of its human & intellectual capital, thus ensuring the Group's ability to sustain its long term value creation capabilities.
KPJ hospitals have also achieved many milestones in its quality initiatives where 6 of the Group's hospitals have been accredited by the Malaysian Society for Quality in Health (MSQH). KPJ hospitals are awarded with certification by international bodies such as TUV Rheinland for Integrated Management System (IMS) that integrates and emphasizes on Quality Management System (MS ISO 9001:2000), Environment (MS ISO 14001:2004) and Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA S 18001:1999).
