Job offer: Application Developer - Remote

Functional Tasks

• Collaborate with business analysts, senior developers, and stakeholders to understand business problems and deliver solutions.
• Apply Agile, Waterfall, or similar application lifecycle methodologies in development processes.
• Perform systems analysis, design, documentation, implementation, and maintenance of complex applications with minimal supervision.
• Ensure systems follow departmental standards, controls, and audit trails, and that new systems are thoroughly tested before production deployment.
• Full redevelopment of applications, aligning them with Azure development and understanding business processes.
• Provide ongoing application technical support, training, and project documentation, including technical specifications and infrastructure requirements.

Technical Tasks

• Develop full-stack solutions, including database management, business logic, and front-end UI.
• Work with Azure development platforms, specifically in-app services.
• Redevelop legacy applications, aligning with current technologies and business processes.
• Develop REST services and APIs for system integration and data transformation.
• Continuously monitor industry trends, recommend and implement new technologies, and apply best practices in design, development, and production.

The Successful Applicant

Required Qualifications

• Must be able to work US hours, night shift in Malaysia (9 PM to 5 AM). Work days are from Monday to Friday.
• Bachelor's Degree with 6 years of relevant experience or Associate's Degree with 8 years of relevant experience in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent.
• Three years of professional programming experience in Microsoft .NET technologies.
• Experience in web development, database development (Oracle/SQL Server), UI design, and API programming.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented development methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively with business users and work with teams across regions, including India.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and the ability to support them with IT solutions.
• Strong interpersonal, project management, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience programming in .NET and SQL or PL/SQL.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Proven ability to deliver value-added solutions in business and manufacturing settings.
