Domed rupture disk, also known as compression loaded rupture disc, where the convex side of the dome faces the process medium/ pressure. Pressure relief of this disk is achieved in 2 stages:
1) Collapse of the dome
2) Cutting, tearing or shearing of the disc material
Reverse Acting disc has a standard operating ratio as high as 90% of the disc marked burst pressure and offer high cycle life. Moreover, this series of discs can withstands full vacuum without vacuum support, and Teflon Liners are available to provide protection from corrosive media.
