For domed forward acting disc, the concave side of the disc faces the process medium/ pressure, and burst is initiated when the system pressure overcomes the tensile properties of the disc material. Forward Acting rupture disc has standard operating ratio ranged from 70% to 85% of the disc marked burst pressure.
