Poh Guan Hong (1985) Sdn Bhd - Sibu

Poh Guan Hong, established by Mr Ting Ung Kee in Sibu, Sarawak in 1942 after he migrated to Malaysia from China, is currently one of the most popular local shops. This Chinese pharmacy mainly sells a wide range of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) from packaged goods to Chinese herbal medicines, at the same time offers clinical consultation and treatment to customers. Apart from widely used products, Poh Guan Hong is also selling self-developed products, such as the well-known Ubat Sakit Perut Cap Rusa Sing Kong Chui.

As Mr Ting Ung Kee was approaching his golden years, his second son Mr Ting Ka Hua took the responsibility of running the business, while Mr Ting's grandson, Mr Ting Dor Hoh, picked up the clinical work for him, providing consultation, acupuncture, GuaSha therapy etc.

Currently, apart from being the Managing Director of Poh Guan Hong, Mr Ting Ka Hua is also the President of the FCPMDAM (Federation of Chinese Physicians and Medicine Dealers Associations of Malaysia), where he leads 43 Malaysian TCM Organizations to obtain deserved rights for TCM Business Owners from the Malaysian government.

With the assistance from Mr Ting Ung Kee' son and grandson, Poh Guan Hong successfully established the first manufacturing facility in East Malaysia with the GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) certification in 1998. Under the GMP certification, Poh Guan Hong started producing high quality medicinal products (self-developed medicines and medicines by other merchants) that are compliant with the requirements set by the Ministry of Health.
