Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Guidance: Providing expert guidance and support to audit teams on complex technical matters related to accounting standards, regulations, and industry practices.
• Quality Assurance: Ensuring the quality and accuracy of audit procedures, methodologies, and documentation to comply with auditing standards and regulatory requirements.
• Training and Development: Developing and delivering training programs to audit staff to enhance their technical knowledge and skills, keeping them updated on relevant accounting and auditing standards.
• Research and Interpretation: Conducting research on emerging accounting and auditing issues, interpreting new regulations or standards, and advising audit teams on their implications for audit engagements.
• Consultation: Serving as a technical resource for audit teams, providing consultation on challenging audit issues, accounting treatments, and financial reporting matters.
• Audit Methodology Development: Collaborating with audit leadership to develop and refine audit methodologies, tools, and templates to improve efficiency and effectiveness of audit processes.
• Quality Control: Implementing and monitoring quality control processes to ensure compliance with professional standards and firm policies, and identifying areas for improvement.
• Client Communication: Interacting with clients on technical matters related to audit engagements, addressing inquiries, and providing explanations or recommendations as needed.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal Audit Technical Director will be confident in leading from the front and be responsible for the growth of the company and must possess the below requirements;

Key Requirements:

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
• A relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, CIA).
• Significant experience in auditing, accounting, or a related field, with at least 5 years experience in a consulting firm.
• In-depth knowledge of auditing standards, accounting principles, financial reporting requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary for conducting research, interpreting regulations, analyzing financial data, and providing insightful recommendations.
