Among the many responsibilities, some are as follows:

• Support strategic development of the events' portfolio in APAC.
• Manage event project delivery, staff performance, and training.
• Establish and maintain vendor relationships, control expenses.
• Compile budgets, prepare reports, and oversee staff allocation.
• Promote event programs and activities, encourage membership growth.
• Assess financial, strategic, and logistical outcomes of events.
• Coordinate committees, logistics, technical programs, marketing, sales, finance, and administration.
• Utilize internal management systems for project and event management.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will be confident in growing the business and steering the company to the most profitable position, while having the drive to establish new businesses across the massive APAC region. It's critical you have an all-rounded experience and must possess the requirements below:

• Bachelor's degree & above with at least 10 years of portfolio and business management experience, with 5 years of team management, and 3 years of large-scale event management experience (regional experience is advantageous).
• Strong communicator and presenter who is proficient in English, with a solid grasp of Bahasa Malaysia, and preferably Mandarin.
• Capable of working autonomously with minimal supervision and possesses a meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills coupled with analytical prowess and problem-solving abilities. Experience in the industrial sector is also highly needed.
• Driven to explore new opportunities, demonstrating strong skills in prospecting and lead validation.
• Resourceful and persistent, skilled in navigating customer structures, identifying key decision-makers, and mapping potential opportunities.
• Credible and commercially savvy, adept at blending technical knowledge with consultative selling expertise.
• Possesses excellent interpersonal and diplomatic skills for collaborating with diverse colleagues and customers, building strong relationships.
