Job vacancy Regional Accountant

• Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and customer accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Accurately apply cash receipts to customer accounts, ensuring timely and correct application of payments.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
• Reconcile freight charges and performs monthly variance analysis and communicates key findings to management team
• Implements business controls best practices, ensures controls are followed and recommends areas for improvement.
• Assist the regional accounting team for continuous process improvement and automation to increase effectiveness and efficiency of financial processes.
• Works with shared service team (WNS) to help them build understanding and achieve a high level of performance.
• Responds to reporting requests/requirements from corporate accounting, management, tax, risk management, etc.
• Ensures compliance with MFL accounting standards and requirements in all financial statements and reports.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts monthly and processes adjusting entries/takes corrective actions as required.

The Successful Applicant

• Minimum 5 years of working experience in accounting or finance department.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA or CIMA equivalent.
• Intermediate experience in SAP
• Strong attention to detail
• Organizational Skills
• Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders including external auditors, customers, vendors and bank relationship manager.
