Job vacancy Quantity Surveyor

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment costs.
• Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to optimize project budgets without compromising quality.
• Monitor project expenditures and provide regular budget reports to project managers and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with project teams to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Manage the procurement process, including tendering, negotiating contracts, and selecting suppliers.
• Review and evaluate contractor bids and proposals to ensure competitiveness and compliance with project requirements.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to assess progress, identify discrepancies, and verify quantities.
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including quantity survey reports, cost tracking sheets, and change orders.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to resolve issues and address any concerns related to cost, quality, or schedule.

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
• In-depth knowledge of construction cost management principles, techniques, and software tools.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software.
