Client Background:

Our client was established in 1982 in Malaysia. The company is involved in project execution, supply, installation, maintenance & other related works for industrial heating, ventilation, air-conditioning (HVAC), electrical supply system, utility process and cleanroom systems. Registered grade G7 company under the Construction Industry Development Board of Malaysia (CIDB) and MS ISO 9001:2015 certified company since 1996.

Industry: Main Contractor (Design & Build)

Location: Petaling Jaya

Headcount: 1

Tenure: Permanent

Remuneration: RM2,800 – RM3,500

Responsibilities:

  • To check, verify and record vendor purchase order.
  • To check and confirm liability for vendor payments.
  • To allocate expenses/expenditure entry into correct budget account.
  • To record all relevant entries related to vendor/staff reimburse payment into accounting system.
  • To summarise vendor payments.
  • To prepare vendor payments on time.
  • To check and record project quotation, contract and budget.
  • To prepare invoice, general journals and ensure the accuracy.
  • To receive cheques or payment advices and correspondence associated with the debtors.
  • To check and report variations between invoiced amounts and payments received.
  • To assist in the preparation of debtors lists and necessary reports relating to amounts outstanding.
  • To prepare monthly SOA to customer.
  • To have proper documentation filing system.
  • To check and ensure accuracy of the supporting documentation during quarter closing.
  • To prepare supporting documents associated with auditor.
  • To prepare monthly bank reconciliation.
  • To assist in monthly management accounts and report preparation.
  • To liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers and related government agencies.
  • General administrative support - to perform any other daily ad hoc administrative and accounting duties assigned from time to time by superior.

Requirements:

  • Diploma/Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications (Excel & Word) and familiar with Computer Accounting software.
  • Possess an analytical mind, disciplined work ethic, and the ability to work independently.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; training will be provided.
  • Good in English and Bahasa Malaysia both in writing and communication. Proficient in Mandarin a must to liaise with mandarin speaking counterparts.
  • Computer literate and proficient in Ms. PowerPoint and Ms. Excel.
