The Sourcing Project Coordinator is responsible for planning, managing, and supporting sourcing and contracting changes based on identified improvement initiatives. The role includes overseeing various sourcing activities across different spending categories and implementing digital procurement solutions. The Coordinator will identify changes needed in existing contracts, update contract clauses, and negotiate with suppliers. They will also review recommended improvements, create sourcing requests, and track and report progress to ensure timely delivery according to the project plan.

  • Reviewing changes to supplier contracts identified by the project, and assessing their complexity and priority.
  • Creating sourcing requests in Salesforce Compass, specifying needed contract changes for the Sourcing teams to negotiate.
  • Setting and tracking timelines, risks, and issues for each sourcing task related to the project.
  • Monitoring project progress and preparing status reports on sourcing activities for project managers and stakeholders.
  • Organizing stakeholder meetings and facilitating communication between the project manager and stakeholders during the project.
  • Managing critical issues according to the established operating model and ensuring team processes are consistently followed.
  • Maintaining and updating team process and procedure documentation to ensure it remains effective and relevant.
  • Driving a continuous improvement mindset and culture.
  • Develop strong working relationship with project team, sourcing team and the larger procurement division to ensure the new tool are fit-for-purpose.
The Successful Applicant
  • Bachelors' degree in business studies or other relevant qualification.
  • At least 7-10 years of experience in finance, procurement, or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in procurement, contract management, and project management/coordination.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a complex, large-scale environment.
  • Proficiency in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Experience in managing project, communicating & managing operational risks.
  • Ability to use metrics for analyzing, understanding, and communicating program performance.
  • Capability to engage in technical discussions with Sourcing practitioners, project teams, and stakeholders.
  • Skilled in creating documentation and artefacts to support informed decision-making.
  • Familiarity with procurement systems like SAP Ariba, Coupa, Oracle Procurement Cloud, etc.
