Head of Engineering
Position Overview:
We are seeking a visionary and experienced Head of Engineering to lead our engineering team in delivering innovative FinTech solutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading engineering teams in a product-driven environment and a deep understanding of the financial technology landscape. This role will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and will be a key member of the leadership team.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management:
• Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of engineers to achieve company goals.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement engineering strategies that align with the company's vision and objectives.
Product Development:
• Work closely with product management, design, and other stakeholders to define and execute the product roadmap.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and reliable products on time and within budget.
• Drive the adoption of best practices in software development, including Agile methodologies, code reviews, and automated testing.
Technical Excellence:
• Oversee the technical architecture and ensure the robustness, scalability, and security of the platform.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, leveraging them to enhance the company's technological capabilities.
• Ensure the engineering team adheres to high standards of code quality and technical documentation.
• Strategic Planning:
• Collaborate with the executive team to define and prioritize strategic initiatives.
• Assess and mitigate technical risks, ensuring the scalability and sustainability of the engineering efforts.
• Drive the development and execution of technical roadmaps and long-term engineering goals.
Team Development:
• Attract, recruit, and retain top engineering talent.
• Implement professional development programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the engineering team.
• Create an inclusive and supportive work environment that encourages diversity and fosters creativity.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a product-driven environment.
• Proven experience in the FinTech industry or a strong understanding of financial systems and technologies.
• Demonstrated success in leading and scaling engineering teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Strong technical background with expertise in modern software development practices and technologies.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into technical solutions.
