This role is:

  • Supervise the integration, planning, and execution of Sustainability components within EPCM projects.
  • Coordinate, assist, and oversee Design Assessment (DA) and Certifications & Verification (CVA) Stage submissions.
  • Possess expertise and background in sustainable building design, construction, or upgrades.
  • Manage external consultants in the sustainable building certification process for both Non-Residential Existing and New Buildings, such as Green Building Index (GBI), GreenRE, and/or LEED.
  • Oversee the entire sustainability and low carbon program delivery across all EPCM projects, including tasks like photo-voltaic (PV) solar panels installation, electric vehicle chargers' installation, Building Monitoring System (BMS), Energy Management System (EMS), and green building certifications (GBI/GreenRE).
  • Demonstrate proficiency in building sustainability assessment criteria, encompassing energy efficiency, indoor environmental quality, sustainable site planning and management, materials and resources, water efficiency, and innovation.
  • Effectively collaborate with external parties and stakeholders to provide specialized input during the certification process and project delivery.
  • Aid in developing a design and assessment toolkit to attain Green Building certification and conduct assessments on existing and/or new sites to provide professional guidance on obtaining Green Building certification.
  • Stay updated on low carbon emission initiatives, design requirements, and changing regulatory standards.
  • Lead innovation programs to meet clients' energy emission targets and digitalization objectives.
  • Utilize experience in AI, machine learning, and data analysis to translate large datasets into actionable insights to achieve clients' carbon emission reduction goals and energy efficiency targets.
  • Manage fast-tracked design processes and program roll-outs efficiently.
  • Coordinate with vendors, partners, support staff, and government authorities to achieve project deliverables and business goals.
  • Manage Services Rollout using professional project management tools and defined processes.
  • Adhere to project management quality standards for scope, schedule, resource, communication, risk, issue, and quality management.
  • Analyze energy and water efficiencies based on data harvesting initiatives and provide assessments of sustainable programs implemented on existing and/or new sites.
  • Familiarize oneself with specifications, regulations, and drawings for internal and external renovations and designs.
  • Engage and coordinate service provider groups and subject matter experts (SMEs) for planning, coordination, and implementation.
  • Coordinate team resources, resolve conflicts, manage performance, and ensure propositions and plans align with contract parameters, company policies, and capabilities.
  • Ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met or exceeded, and client expectations are fulfilled.
  • Cultivate service relationships with clients and consultants, attending client service review meetings to address performance reports, customer service improvements, quality, and processes.
  • Proficient in working within an international environment with virtual teams.
  • Stay abreast developments and market trends related to sustainability, climate, decarbonization, corporate disclosure, reporting frameworks, and social impact.
The Successful Applicant
  • Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Demonstrate a track record of successfully managing Green Building certifications across GBI, LEED, and GreenRE.
  • Certification as a GBI Facilitator and/or LEED Associate is required.
  • Possess a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in Green Building Projects, ESG Initiatives, and Sustainability.
  • Familiarity with environmental sustainability frameworks and best practices related to the built environment is essential.
  • Exhibit strong negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
  • Capable of collaborating effectively with various stakeholders, including peers, executive management, and senior management.
  • Display independence, resourcefulness, and a collaborative spirit as a team player.
  • Show proficiency in leading, managing, and motivating teams while providing efficient and professional support.
  • Skilled in negotiation, influencing, coordination, and decision-making within areas of responsibility.
  • Refine reporting processes, particularly in data collection, verification, and assurance.
  • Possess experience in team leadership and project management.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Proficient in Microsoft tools
