You will be responsible for developing and implementing the following:

  • Cloud architecture and deployment on Microsoft Azure.
  • Automation of build and script processes, including build and release pipelines.
  • Support in configuring environments, automated deployments, and testing.
  • Support in establishing automated cloud environment setups.
  • Support in overseeing the comprehensive governance of software deployment processes.



Operational Support Responsibilities:

  • Participate in on-call rotation to provide operational support.
  • Assist in deployments outside of regular hours, including weekends.



Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Working with Azure's Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS).
  • Setting up Azure services, including App Service Plans, Storage Accounts, KeyVaults, and Virtual Machines.
  • Scripting with PowerShell, YAML, or Bash.
  • Understanding and working with database technologies such as Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, and MongoDB.
  • Setting up and managing instrumentation, monitoring, and alerting systems.
  • Conducting in-depth technical investigations into application architecture, identifying root causes of issues.
  • Designing and implementing high-availability configurations for web applications.
  • Fostering cross-team collaboration.
  • Engaging in detailed technical analysis of infrastructure, databases, and applications, focusing on design, coding, operation, and support of high-performing, highly available services and infrastructure.
The Successful Applicant

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
  • Proficiency in operating systems (must have expertise in at least one): Windows Administration or Linux Administration.
  • Desirable: Experience with administering Azure Kubernetes Service.
  • Essential automation skills (proficiency in at least one required): PowerShell, YAML, or Bash.
  • Experience with deployment tools (at least one required, with a preference for VSTS DevOps): VSTS DevOps, Terraform, or Git.
  • Ability to work with web technologies, including IIS or web application management.
  • Solid understanding of database technologies.
  • Knowledge of instrumentation, monitoring, and alerting systems.
  • Skill in conducting technical deep dives into application designs and performing root cause analyses.
  • Experience in designing and configuring high availability for web applications.
  • Experience with the operation and support of mission-critical applications, including incident and outage management.
  • Advantageous: Experience with BICEP.
