Client Background: A leading manufacturer of vacuum and semiconductor solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

· Establish and maintain strong relationships with the customer's quality team to understand their quality standards, expectations, and specific requirements.

· Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive quality assurance plan tailored to the customer's requirements.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quality assurance processes into the overall project plan.

· Conduct regular quality audits and inspections to ensure compliance with established quality standards.

· Work closely with the customer to address any non-conformities and implement corrective and preventive actions.

· Investigate and analyse product quality issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.

· Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain, to address quality concerns, implement corrective actions, and drive quality improvements.

· Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement at supplier sites.

· Generate regular quality reports for internal and external stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators, trends, and areas for improvement.

· Communicate effectively with the customer and suppliers on quality-related matters.

· Collaborate with suppliers to ensure they meet the quality standards required by the customer.

· Conduct supplier audits and work with suppliers to address quality issues.

· Provide training to internal teams and suppliers on quality standards, processes, and best practices.

· Create training materials for the general and process specific qualification of supplier personnel.

Qualifications and Skills:

· Bachelor's degree in Engineering or any related field.

· At least 5 years proven experience as a Quality Engineer.

· In-depth knowledge of quality management systems and methodologies.

· Familiarity with relevant JIS, ANSI, ISO or equivalent quality standards and regulations.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a customer-focused environment.

· Able to read and understand technical drawings and recognize standard GD&T symbols.

· Understanding of manufacturing processes (CNC fabrication, welding, casting, etc) will be an advantage.

· Japanese speaker (verbal and written communication skills) will be an advantage. Additional language allowance is applicable.
