The aim of this role is to offer specialized knowledge in implementing and maintaining SAP systems for the global purchasing organization. The role entails collaborating with businesses to evaluate their needs and provide tailor-made solutions. Additionally, it involves managing change in the SAP Purchasing module to align with the business processes, preparing and conducting tests to ensure system modifications are functional, and educating users on system usage and guide them through the change process by creating e.g. a communication concept. The ultimate goal of the position is to ensure the SAP system efficiently supports the business in achieving its objectives, which include refining business processes, amplifying efficiency, minimizing expenses, and elevating overall business performance.

Tasks:

  • Design of system solutions and coordination of these with the global purchasing organization and the affected departments
  • Key support within the SAP R/3 area and within S4 Hana system enviroment
  • Identification of process optimizations and introduction of new system solutions in coordination with the requirements of the system's landscape and process owners
  • Recording of customer needs including definition of solution requirements, as well as their evaluation and prioritization in collaboration with the respective departments
  • Design, evaluation and definition of optimal system solutions for mapping defined purchasing processes and initiation of the IT change process Cooperation in regional and international projects as well as cooperation with internal and external partners worldwide
  • Development and implementation of training concepts and strategies for purchasing processes and system solutions
  • Design and further development of the existing system landscape Development and implementation of topic-specific support concepts. Execution of 3rd level support, root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions for a sustainable reduction of the support volume
  • Participation in purchasing-related special projects or representation of purchasing within the scope of cross-divisional special projects
  • Develop and lead the Strategy & Processes actvities and requirement for Purchasing & Supplier Management AP
  • Derive a strategy from the overall purchasing strategy with the focus on system and processes, with a corresponding roadmap and drive the implementation of the defined measures
  • Assure the compliant implementation/application of existing/new purchasing processes and systems
  • Development, optimization, enhancement of new/existing processes and tools to lift further potentials in efficiency and/ cost reductions for AP
  • Responsible for creating and implementing digitalization projects in Asia Pacific
The Successful Applicant
  • Commercial or technical degree or comparable training with several years of professional experience
  • High affinity for IT applications (minimum SAP R/3 MM and related SAP modules, SAP S4Hana systems)
  • Experience with SAP R/3 & S4 Hana system are mandatory
  • Intercultural sensitivity and experience in an international corporate organization, ideally in Industry or Automotive business
  • Experience within a network organization mainly in a Purchasing Organisation/enviroment
  • Fluent in English is a must and in German is an advantage
  • High proficiency in verbally and written Communicating skills on an international basis and on different management levels
  • High ability and willingness to approach other persons and cultures in an unbiased and open manner and to work with their opinions and expectations.
