Job vacancy Cost Accountant

• Oversee inventory valuation and tracking processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Implement and maintain costing methodologies such as standard costing or activity-based costing to accurately assess the cost of goods sold.
• Analyze inventory-related data to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize production processes.
• Collaborate with procurement and production teams to streamline inventory levels and improve cost efficiency throughout the supply chain.
• Prepare regular reports and analysis on inventory performance and cost variances for management review and decision-making.

The Successful Applicant

• 5-10 years in costing manufacturing industry
• Bachelor degree in accountancy, finance/ Chartered Accountant
• Good command of English and strong interpersonal skills
• Good knowledge in Excel (Pivot, Sumif, vlookup, added advantage if know macro)
• Good analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to handle varied volumes of workloads and to meet targets and deadlines on time
• Demonstrate and foster customer focus, teamwork, accountability, initiative and innovation
• Decision taking ability under tight deadlines
• Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement
